Home at Last: The Return of Kerem Shalom’s Heroes
After nearly two years of displacement, the families of Kerem Shalom—a kibbutz on Israel’s most dangerous border—have finally begun returning home.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a brutal attack on Kerem Shalom. But unlike many other communities, this kibbutz’s civil defense team and IDF forces stood their ground, killing dozens of terrorists and successfully defending their homes. No civilians were murdered or abducted—a powerful testament to courage, preparedness, and unity.
In June 2025, the Israeli government lifted Kerem Shalom’s closed military zone status. By July, residents began coming back to rebuild what terror tried to destroy.
Heroes for Israel Project proudly stands with the people of Kerem Shalom—heroes in every sense of the word. We are actively partnering with them and other border communities to:
Reinforce emergency readiness
Train civil defense units
Strengthen security infrastructure
Help families reclaim their peace and future
These families are not just rebuilding homes—they’re rebuilding hope, security, and sovereignty on the frontlines of Israel.
We see you. We support you. We honor you.
Kerem Shalom — “Vineyard of Peace” — is once again rooted in the soil of Eretz Yisrael.
