🇮🇱 Today in History: From the Ashes of 1948 to the Resolve of Today

September 25, 1967, after 19 years of exile and heartbreak, Kibbutz Kfar Etzion was re-established by the children of its original members—heroes who were massacred by Jordanian forces in May 1948 after surrendering in what became one of the most tragic chapters of Israel’s War of Independence.

These young pioneers returned not just to rebuild homes, but to reclaim a legacy of courage, resilience, and unwavering connection to the Land of Israel. Their return was not just a physical act—it was a statement of eternal belonging.

Fast forward to October 7, 2023: once again, Israeli families in border communities were targeted in a brutal massacre. Innocent men, women, and children were murdered in their homes and communities, echoing the trauma of earlier generations. The same spirit of survival and heroism we saw in Kfar Etzion lives on in today’s defenders, first responders, and civilians who stood in the face of terror.

History has taught us that the frontlines of Israel need more than protection—they need our unwavering support.

Just as the children of Kfar Etzion rebuilt what was destroyed, today’s border communities are rising again—but they cannot do it alone.

🔵 Now more than ever, we must stand with them.

Through the Heroes for Israel Project, we are mobilizing direct support to those most affected—providing security, rebuilding homes, trauma support, and empowering the next generation to stay rooted and strong.

Let’s turn memory into action. Let’s be their strength now.
